I listened in and it was great. Lt. Gov. Thanked all supporters, and people who called, emailed and voiced their concerns. There were a few high-profile riders/teams that sent in messages from the Tour de France as well. Lt. Gov. Kinder also mentioned how happy he is to say Gov. Nixon is now a supporter of the Tour, which is great news. I have a feeling this year will be the biggest yet, as it is growing each year.

Great News to hear the Tour is back on schedule! I am looking forward to visiting St. Louis with my wife and kids this year. With the number of high-ranking teams, it is going to be a great week of racing.

If you live in Illinois or Kansas, I suggest also sending an email to the governors of those states encouraging them to support the Tour and asking Gov. Nixon to reconsider. The Illinois side of the St. Louis metropolitan area and the Kansas side of Kansas City, have a financial interest in the Tour as well due to the spill-over economic impact of these cities hosting the start and finish.

Hi supporters,
I have sent a ton of emails out the Governor's Office to save the race. I have emailed Lt. Gov. Kinder as well, thanking him for all that he and his staff are doing to try to save the Tour.

I am from Wisconsin, and I'm planning on bringing my family this year. Lets hope we make a difference to save this race, which obviously is growing each year boosting your economy. We can pull together and make it happen.

Thanks for the email addresses for his Chief of Staff and Budget Director. I sent an email to them. And has anyone in that office thought of the "Lance" factor????? Look what it did to ToCa!

I attempted to call the Governor's office numerous times and was told that all calls were being diverted to Lt Gov Kinder's office. Even when I requested the Governor's office, the call were re-routed. I did learn the email addresses of his Chief of Staff and Budget Director both of whom are reportedly against the TOM.

They are:
John.Watson@mo.gov Chief of Staff
and
Linda.Luebbering@mo.gov Budget Director

If the Governor refuses to talk to us, then we need to send respectful yet FIRM emails to him, and his two staff members.

If anyone thinks that threatening to hold up funding two months prior to an international level event is anything less than dirty politics, I have some prime ocean front property right her in Clinton to sell you. Tell Governor ixon it is time to quit playing games and think of the economic impact the Tour of Missouri has on our state. To pull out now would damage us economically as well as doing great harm to the perception of Missouri around the world.
